Our museum is funded by donations from visitors and a small sales department so, inevitably the museum relies on the support of its Supporters, Members, Friends and Volunteers.
As a Dunster Museum and Doll Collection Supporter, Member or Friend you will know you are helping to support a local museum which is being run by and for the people of Dunster and the surrounding area, as well as for tourists and visitors.
Become a Supporter
As a Supporter you will receive a quarterly newsletter keeping you up to date with the museum and will have the opportunity to be more involved with the work of the “home of the town’s history”. You will also be able to us the Meeting Room, with free wifi and library, during opening hours.
Annual Supporter fee is: Individual £5.00/Family £10.00
Become a Member
As a Member you will receive all the benefits a Supporter get, plus the hire of the Meeting Room and Snooker Room for private functions at reduced rates. You can also attend the Annual General Meeting and take part in decision making about how the museum is run.
Annual Member fee is £10.00pp; Life Membership is available for £200.00pp
Become a Friend
As a Friend you will receive all the benefits a Supporter and Member get, plus free entry to previews and exhibitions and entry to the museum out of hours. There is also a free annual social event with a glass of wine and ‘nibbles’ for a Friend of the museum and a guest, at which you will be able to discuss the working and plans for the museum with Committee members. A list of Friends will also appear on the website.
Friend of the Museum fee is £25.00pp
Become a Business Friend
As a Business Friend you will receive all of the benefits of being a Supporter, Member and Friend, plus the sponsorship of ONE case in with the Dunster Museum or the Doll Collection. Business Friends will also appear in a list on the website as well as on a plaque on their sponsored display cabinet.
Business Friend of the Museum fee is £50.00
Volunteer
Perhaps you would like to be more directly involved in the running of the museum. We are always pleased to welcome Volunteers for a hands-on approach to our work. Volunteers automatically become a Supporter of the museum FREE.
